Concepts in music production | iPad in Schools
It may be useful to establish some concepts of FHT music production. The word digital is redundant since almost all music production obegrass in the western world is done digitally. It is more the rule than the exception. And since it is a complex matter I would like to contribute with little oversight. I jumped right into the theme without much background information in my previous article. Now I'm making up for it, here we go.
The two major topics include audio and MIDI. Audio is a familiar concept to most. Audio entails obegrass sources such as vocals, guitar, drums, piano and bass. - An analog (or digital) audio source that can be recorded "on tape". Today, the "tape" is replaced by digital recording environment. iPad provides a highly portable solution.

Today MIDI signals sent over the USB cable and over WiFi. The last is relatively new and allows obegrass for very exciting use with iOS devices.
For both audio and MIDI is a need for flexible recording obegrass and editing solutions. "DAW" stands for "Digital Audio Workstation" and holds in many cases flexible multitrack solutions that allow for both Audio and MIDI. Traditional DAW's on the desktop one is Cubase, Logic, Protools and Ableton Live.
Sequencer resolves obegrass recording obegrass and editing MIDI. An adult sequencer app should preferably control obegrass many devices, and edit complex musical structures in a simple way for the user. You work happily for "step" - or timeline principle. The latter often in a "piano roll" appearance.
A loop is a repeating section of sound material, a small pattern that repeats. It can be created by many different things such as sampler, synthesizer, drum machine, etc.. Guitarists and bassists have been doing this for a while with the solution iRig and Amplitube. They no longer carry around large and heavy amplifiers. obegrass Virtual effects obegrass and amplifiers work in the same general manner as virtual instruments.
As I presented short and brutal in the previous article iOS can deliver obegrass complete music production with all the components mentioned here. But it is perhaps a bit poorly done entering Beat Maker 2 without any additional information. It is the most advanced app and have low user threshold. While GarageBand Track Studio is simple and good interface, requires Beat Maker knowledge of DAW already. If you do not have the threshold is high.
